That day at Kensington Market we followed our noses to the a local bakery were we found that the source of the delicious smell was not donuts at all but Mexican treats called “churros”. The churros were delicious.

 New Orleans is the home of a lot of very spicy cooking, so it was fitting that Irma Thomas the soul queen of New Orleans was invited to perform at the Toronto Harbourfront centre’s Hot + Spicy Food Festival.  Today I went to the Fiera Italian festival in Toronto’s Little Italy. In this corner of Italy in the new world all those who came to take part in the festival got the opportunity to linger in the company of familiar friends over a good meal in a festive atmosphere.  |
