Horse Riding Tours to the Beach in Antigua

Horse riding in Antigua has got to be an adventure and a half. However the tourists riding the horses I saw today were very entertainingly not horse whisperers. One mare appeared to tune out the tourist riding her as she noisily relieved itself then began to eat the tasty grass in front of her.

York Island Offshore of Antigua

Today I went out to York Island with Karron, along with another EAG board of directors member named Ashton Williams, and the field technicians Shawn and Tahambay who are always an integral part of the excursions onto the islands. The purpose of this excursion was to bait and monitor traps to keep rats off the island in order to protect the ecology of the island.

Firstly I’d like to try it because it looks like great fun, and secondly I’d like to try it because I sometimes feel I’m letting Antigua’s stunning natural gifts of wind and waves go to waste if I don’t try the water sports that the island has to offer.

Under the Sea in Antigua’s Submarine Adventure

I was happy to have a bright sunny day and such calm seas. With all that today was a perfect day for riding the subcat.
